The Sony SLog 2 LUTs work with most cameras in the Sony lineup. LUT files are compatible with just about every video editing software, so you no longer have to worry about which pack to match with your software. Check Applicable Products and Categories for details. S-Log is a gamma curve with a wide dynamic range optimized under the assumption that grading will be performed in the post-production process. The new LUT that I created was based off of a hybrid of Sony’s SLog 3 LUT and the Arri Alexa LUT, the former of which works surprisingly well. Each look was created with usability in mind. As a results, they were designed to work in a variety of lighting conditions. We also created several general LUTS to help in specific situations. For instance, “green screen boost” makes greens pop, allowing for easier chroma keying. Similarly, there is a “skin tones boost” LUT for making skin tones a little prettier. We also offer some time of day look options, such as “dramatic night” which makes nighttime footage, well, more dramatic. Additionally, looks like “dusk”, “warm morning”, and “day for night” help achieve particular time-of-day looks.

Sony Rec 709 Lut
3D-LUTs can also be downloaded from third-party sources or generated with your choice of software.
All LUT files must be converted for use with the Odyssey using the CD 3D-LUT Utility with can be downloaded here for MAC or PC. Once the file is loaded onto the Odyssey it cannot be exported or converted back into a .CUBE file. For that reason it is important to retain a copy of the original .CUBE file.
